Coral lights

Art & Science
At dusk, on a full moon night, all I saw before me was a vast expanse of serene, silent water. I was there, in the darkness, sharing a magical moment of intimacy, with only the living creatures of the coral reef as my guides, enhancing this surreal spectacle.
Since 2011, I have practiced fluorescence photography and remain increasingly fascinated by each immersive experience that comes my way. Corals fuel my perpetual quest for new forms and colors.
Did you know that UV light absorbed by certain living organisms is re-emitted at different wavelengths? This creates a spectrum of colors with dazzling lights. A true phenomenon of marine life, we don't fully understand the purpose of fluorescence and the role it plays in evolution. This is one of the reasons it's so fascinating.
