Photography to the rhythm of the mountains Welcome to the Clarée Valley. Here in Névache, nature speaks in hushed tones, between larch forests, crystal-clear streams and silent peaks. It's in this unspoilt natural setting that I place my eye and my lens. As a field photographer, I capture the changing lights, the still winters, the discreet blooms, the underwater landscapes - my speciality... And above all, the living beauty of this fragile territory.
Névache and the Clarée Valley in pictures
The Clarée is a discreet jewel of the Hautes-Alpes. Classified as a “remarkable natural site”, it offers landscapes of rare intensity in all seasons.
My images are taken on foot, throughout the seasons, sometimes at sunrise, often after a long walk. They tell a story:
the purity of the water, in icy meanders or springtime waterfalls,
the low autumn light on the alpine pastures,
the discreet presence of living things: chamois, foxes, tits or wild orchids,
the vernacular architecture of Névache and the high-altitude hamlets.
Each photograph seeks to capture the emotion of a moment, the simplicity of a breath in the landscape.

My photographic approach is documented, but also sensory. I am as interested in the biology of environments as I am in the light on a frosted bark.
