 Surface was photographed on Hatamin Island , Flores , Indonesia , at sunset . In this warm, fading light, the coral appears at the water's surface, as if suspended.




 Through this image, Martin Colognoli explores the reef as a space of passage, a threshold between two worlds. The water's surface is no longer a simple boundary: it becomes a meeting place between light and living matter. The coral reveals a sculptural and sensitive presence.




 This work invites us to contemplate the coral reef in a moment of calm and transition, when the evening light softens the forms and transforms the living into an almost unreal landscape.
